Kiwi-Style Onion Dip (300ml jar displayed)

In New Zealand there's a classic style onion dip which, tradtionally, is made by combining packet onion soup with reduced cream, plus lemon juice or vinegar. The packet soup contains milk and wheat products and, needless to say, the reduced cream is no good for lactose intollerant, or cruelty-intollerant people. We spent a lot of time trying to come up with a dairy/wheat-free alternative and we did it. WARNING: It's seriously addictive!
